Oy Vey!

SO delayed! I am so terribly sorry that I haven’t updated my blog!

First, we can start off with the fabulous news … I achieved my 10 lb goal for January!!!! Woot Woot! I am so VERY proud of myself! Now, I just need to keep the momentum going!

February: goal is another 10 lbs …
I am secretly hoping to lose more! I have yet to weigh in for the month of February. I decided to weigh in on February 29th (leap year baby!) … I will let you know the results then.

Not sure if anyone is a fan of Pinterest … but I found an awesome visual idea … Pounds Lost; Pounds to Go … a little something called “thinspiration!”

My day was spent visiting Dollar Tree, and Joanne Fabrics. I am so ecstatic to move marbles over! I will post pictures of my own cylinder vases soon!

I am staying MOTIVATED! Let’s do THIS!

Google Obsession!

I know … I know … I didn’t update my blog on Friday (sorry I’m 2 days late).

Ever since I started to “seriously diet” I have been obsessed with Google-ing work outs, diets, and super sexy dresses and clothes that I want to fit into. It's so overwhelming, there is so much information out there, and I want to buy EVERYTHING! I also come across some funny videos that I can relate to in so many ways (see below)!

Working out is not the only thing that will help me through this. It’s my eating habits that I need to change for good. I have the day off work tomorrow and I plan on stopping at the book store to buy “The Ultimate New York Diet by David Kirsch" … if we even have any bookstores open still … damn Kindles! Let me school you a little bit about David Kirsch. He is a celebrity fitness trainer and he is the one that got Heidi Klum into tip top shape for the VS fashion show … just eight weeks after having a baby! … and the cover says “Lose up to 14 lbs in 2 weeks!” … I’m a sucker for that! Haha but in all honesty I heard great things about his diet plan from various reviews and some friends. I will let you know how that goes. I’m sure any diet will be better than that damn Lemonade Diet (cleanse)… that I completely failed! Google it if you dare! I didn’t make it past day 2! I'm also going to stop at Trader Joe's ... they have some nice healthy food selections that will inspire me!

So on to the good news for the week ...

  • I kept up with my workout plan despite being sick.
  • Thanks to a handy pamphlet at the grocery store, I learned how to properly deseed a Pomegranate – I know it doesn’t seem like a big deal, but it is to me considering I have been doing it wrong the entire time.
  • I went to the movies and smuggled in my own healthy snacks and bottled water. I did'nt cave in for popcorn, pretzels or gummie bears ... and nacho cheese!
  • Saving the best for last … drum roll please ………….  I lost 3.5lbs this week! I am so proud of myself and I can’t wait to lose more … hopefully 14lbs in two weeks if I stick to David Kirsch’s diet plan! Haha

And now time for something funny …

Thanks for all your support! "See" you in a week!

First Week = DONE!

Good news all around!

My first week of the New Year went quite well! Not only did I stick to my workout regimen but, I made some progress in my eating habits as well! I have been drinking LOTS of water and iced green tea (no sugar). I usually skip breakfast (which is probably a bad idea) so, I am getting into the habit of eating a HEALTHY breakfast!

Going to the gym has been quite entertaining, especially seeing the members double during the first week of January! I guess I am not the only one with this typical resolution!

I was able to work out with my mom and dad twice this week. I know it may not seem like such a big deal, but they are just so cute about it. We bought them iPod shuffles for Christmas and they are just amazed with the technology! If I told my dad to get a membership years ago, he would respond by telling me that he gets a good enough workout at work every day! It’s something that they are able to do together and it’s good for their health too. I must say I am a proud daughter. I LOVE seeing my “old school” polish parents doing something together!

Goals for the month of January:

  • Lose 10lbs (this is a realistic goal; I am hoping to lose over 10lbs!)
  • Work out 5x a week
  • Continue healthy eating

I haven’t lost my motivation and I am ready for week 2! Thanks for reading!

Some pictures that have been circling around that are so true!

New Year, New Me!

If I had a dollar for every time I started a diet … I would have enough money to afford liposuction and a boob job by now!

So here we are … another year over and a new one starting. I vowed that weightloss would not be my resolution for the New Year (again)! Unfortunately, I didn’t stick to my guns so here I am (sorry I like food)! I have made countless “donations” to my local gyms, and to give weightloss one last shot, I just purchased a new membership (you can’t beat $10 a month!). I also figured if I start Blogging I will feel obligated to stick to my guns, especially since my lovely friends will be following me and supporting me all the way through (right!?)!

Why Kilt Girl in the Making? Well, one of my very good friends owns several Tilted Kilt restaurants … I was supposed to be in shape and work for the first one that opened … and the second one, and now his third one (eeek!). I have yet to start my first shift there! Bottom line is I want to get my @$$ in that cute little uniform, work there for some extra cash and take all my besties to Vegas! Oh, and move out and live on my own. That’s the plan and I am hoping by my 26th Birthday in March I will be somewhat close to fitting into that uniform, or at least a really hot dress for my b-day party!

Let’s go over some of the “diet fails”:

Personal Trainer = SATAN!
Seattle’s Sutton’s Healthy Eating = EEEW!
Slim Fast = EEEW!
Atkins – this one actually worked for me … until I started eating bread and gained double the weight back! So we can mark this one down as a fail!
Bikram Yoga = I thought I was going to die!

Some things I am going to focus on:

Changing my eating habits
Cardio
Spin Class
Toning
Focusing on me, me, me, and me! Did I mention me?

I plan on making weekly updates to let you know how I’m progressing as well as confess my failures for the week! New Year, new me! So we start Monday right? ;)
